Earth Hour – Energy Saving Tips for Residents

Earth Hour 2024 is just around the corner! On 23 March at 8:30 pm, turn off your non-essential lights and dedicate an hour to helping our planet. If you’re not sure how to spend your time in the dark, check out Earth.org‘s top environmental podcasts for inspiration on how to save energy and reduce your carbon footprint. This is especially important when living in a rental community, where a few simple changes can significantly reduce energy consumption and costs while contributing to a cleaner and healthier community!  Start by:

– Replacing regular light bulbs with energy-efficient LED bulbs.

– Use power strips to turn off electronic devices when not in use.

– Setting your thermostat to a comfortable yet energy-saving temperature.

– Unplugging chargers and appliances when not in use.
